Description
For this grade of erhu, we insisted on solid, unpainted G2 Cambodian Scented Rosewood and Quality Python Back Skin.
Tone wise, this instrument is clear for all notes, and is able to play relatively well. Nevertheless, the thinner skin (G3 Skin) and the lighter wood meant that the low notes’ resonance will be weak for professional performers’ liking. The high notes as well, do not penetrate as well as most people will like it to.
Nevertheless, for those on a budget, it will suffice for performance in ensembles and self practise. The midtones of this erhu, definitely is one of quality and is rich and full.
