Made of Bitter Bamboo that has been air dried for more than 3 years, this grade of dizi is meant for beginners and orchestra players who know the value of a well-tuned dizi in an ensemble setting. Every note is individually tuned relative to each of the other notes, and depending on the individual embouchure, one can easily raise or lower the intonation of the dizi to match the tuning of the ensemble.

The tone generally is balanced for the Qudi series, and with proper membranes, the classic bamboo flute sound of the instrument is easily achieved. The Bangdi series is bright and clear, but may lack the sensitivity found on dizis made of a more matured material.

On the whole, this dizi is meant for beginners performing in a group.
