Da Jiao Ye or Big Banana Leaf, can only be made when the dimension of the raw material is large enough, and intricate details on the Qin accentuates its aesthetic beauty as well. Using Chinese Fir that was recovered from a Ming Dynasty temple, only a limited number of this grade is made.

This model of Guqin is predicted to be a collectors’ item in the future decade, and the timbre of the Guqin justifies this prediction. The low strings resonates with a sustain that sounds distant, yet clear. The bends and the slides are cleared picked up by the resonating body. All notes sound full bodied and strong, yet mellow. The Qin responds very well to the requirements of the payer and is considered tone wise to be relatively mature and yet sounds clear and crisp over any accompaniment.
